Sharanagamana Mudra, Three Jewels Mudra or Refuge Giving Mudra is made with either hand with palm facing upward, outward or downward (subjugating fear). The mudra is made with either index, middle or ring finger tip touching the thumb to form a circle with the other fingers extending upwards. The three fingers represent the three jewels and the circle symbolizes taking refuge with union of method and wisdom.
