༄༅། །བློ་སྦྱོང་ཚིག་བརྒྱད་མ་བཞུགས་སོ། །
修心八偈 朗日塘巴尊者著
Eight Verses of Training the Mind by Geshe Langri Thangpa
(1)
བདག་ནི་སེམས་ཅན་ཐམས་ཅད་ལ། །
我於一切有情眾
By thinking of all sentient beings
ཡིད་བཞིན་ནོར་བུ་ལས་ལྷག་པའི། །
視之猶勝如意寶
As more precious than a wish-fulfilling jewel
དོན་མཆོག་སྒྲུབ་པའི་བསམ་པ་ཡིས། །
依彼能成究竟利
For accomplishing the highest aim,
རྟག་ཏུ་གཅེས་པར་འཛིན་པར་ཤོག །
願心恒懷珍愛惜
I will always hold them dear.
(2)
གང་དུ་སུ་དང་འགྲོགས་པའི་ཚེ། །
隨處與誰為伴時
Whenever I’m in the company of others,
བདག་ཉིད་ཀུན་ལས་དམན་བལྟ་ཞིང༌། །
視己較諸眾人卑
I will regard myself as the lowest among all,
གཞན་ལ་བསམ་པ་ཐག་པ་ཡིས། །
從心深處思利他
And from the depths of my heart
མཆོག་ཏུ་གཅེས་པར་འཛིན་པར་ཤོག །
願恒尊他為最上
Cherish others as supreme.
(3)
སྤྱོད་ལམ་ཀུན་ཏུ་རང་རྒྱུད་ལ། །
一舉一動觀自心
In my every action, I will watch my mind,
རྟོག་ཅིང་ཉོན་མོངས་སྐྱེས་མ་ཐག །
正當煩惱初萌生
And the moment destructive emotions arise,
བདག་གཞན་མ་རུངས་བྱེད་པས་ན། །
危害自與他人時
I will confront them strongly and avert them,
བཙན་ཐབས་གདོང་ནས་བཟློག་པར་ཤོག །
願疾呵斥令消除
Since they will hurt both me and others.
(4)
རང་བཞིན་ངན་པའི་སེམས་ཅན་རྣམས། །
稟性邪惡諸有情
Whenever I see ill-natured beings,
སྡིག་སྡུག་དྲག་པོས་ནོན་མཐོང་ཚེ། །
恒為猛烈罪苦逼
Or those overwhelmed by heavy misdeeds or suffering,
རིན་ཆེན་གཏེར་དང་འཕྲད་པ་བཞིན། །
見時如遇大寶藏
I will cherish them as something rare,
རྙེད་པར་དཀའ་བས་གཅེས་འཛིན་ཤོག །
願珍愛惜難得寶
As though I’d found a priceless treasure.
(5)
བདག་ལ་གཞན་གྱིས་ཕྲག་དོག་གིས། །
他人出於嫉妒心
Whenever someone out of envy
གཤེ་བསྐུར་ལ་སོགས་མི་རིགས་པའི། །
非理辱罵謗我等
Does me wrong by attacking or belittling me,
གྱོང་ཁ་རང་གིས་ལེན་པ་དང༌། །
盡其虧損我取受
I will take defeat upon myself,
རྒྱལ་ཁ་གཞན་ལ་འབུལ་བར་ཤོག །
願將勝利奉獻他
And give the victory to others.
(6)
གང་ལ་བདག་གིས་ཕན་བཏགས་པའི། །
我曾於彼施利樂
Even when someone I have helped,
རེ་བ་ཆེ་བ་གང་ཞིག་གིས། །
並且深心寄厚望
Or in whom I have placed great hopes
ཤིན་ཏུ་མི་རིགས་གནོད་བྱེད་ནའང༌། །
縱彼非理妄加害
Mistreats me very unjustly,
བཤེས་གཉེན་དམ་པར་བལྟ་བར་ཤོག །
願視彼為善知識
I will view that person as a true spiritual teacher.
(7)
མདོར་ན་དངོས་སམ་བརྒྱུད་པ་ཡིས། །
願我直接與間接
In brief, directly or indirectly,
ཕན་བདེ་མ་རྣམས་ཀུན་ལ་འབུལ། །
利樂遍獻如母眾
I will offer help and happiness to all my mothers,
མ་ཡི་གནོད་དང་སྡུག་བསྔལ་ཀུན། །
如母有情諸苦患
And secretly take upon myself
གསང་བས་བདག་ལ་ལེན་པར་ཤོག །
我願暗中自取受
All their hurt and suffering.
(8)
དེ་དག་ཀུན་ཀྱང་ཆོས་བརྒྱད་ཀྱི། །
願此一切我所行
I will learn to keep all these practices
རྟོག་པའི་དྲི་མས་མ་སྦགས་ཤིང༌། །
不為八法念垢染
Untainted by thoughts of the eight worldly concerns.
ཆོས་ཀུན་སྒྱུ་མར་ཤེས་པའི་བློས། །
了知諸法皆如幻
May I recognize all things as like illusions,
ཞེན་མེད་འཆིང་བ་ལས་གྲོལ་ཤོག །
願離耽執而解脫
And, without attachment, gain freedom from bondage.ཅེས་པ་འདི་ནི་དགེ་བཤེས་གླང་ཐང་པ་རྡོ་རྗེ་སེངྒེའི་གསུང་ངོ༌།། །།
