Three Poisons; 三毒: 貪嗔痴; Tibetan: དུག་གསུམ (duk sum); Wylie: dug gsum; Sanskrit: Trivisa;
The three poisons (trivisa) are the three root destructive emotions (kleshas):
- attachment or desire (raga) 貪
- anger or averson (dvesha) 嗔

They are the causes of sufferings and samsaric rebirth. The antidotes of the three poisons are generosity (dana), loving kindness (metta), and wisdom (prajna).
三毒 (三不善根: 貪、嗔、痴) 是三種煩惱的總稱,苦的根源。
