A Khandroma or Dakini is a female embodiment of enlightened energy. In Tibetan, khandroma means "sky dancer" or "she who moves in space or sky".

In Vajrayana, a dakini sometimes appear as consort of a deity to help practitioners attain blissful awareness of emptiness.
