Five Ascetics were Shakyamuni’s companions and disciples for six years. After Buddha attained enlightenment, they received the first teaching of the Buddha on Four noble truths at Deer Park. They all eventually became arhats.
五比丘是跟随釋迦牟尼六年一同苦修的弟子,他們接受了佛陀證悟後在鹿苑的第一個教法: 四聖諦,他們成為僧團最初的成員,最後都成羅漢。
