In Vajrayana, a Yidam is a manifestation of enlightened mind or Buddha form. A Yidam can have multiple faces, arms and legs and can appear in peaceful or wrathful form.
Chakrasamvara, Kalachakra, Guhyasamaja, Cakrasamvara, Hevajra, Yamantaka, and Vajrayogini, Hayagriva, Vajrakilaya, Kurukulla, Avalokiteshvara, Manjushri, Tara and Dzambhala are some of the most common well known Yidams.
本尊是密法佛性的顯現,修法觀想的對境。最主要的本尊包括勝輪金剛、時輪金剛、密金剛、輪金剛、喜金剛、大威德金剛、金剛瑜伽母、馬頭明王 普巴金剛、作明佛母、觀世音菩薩、文殊菩薩、度母、贊巴拉等。
