Rinpoche

Tibetan: རིན་པོ་ཆེ     Chinese: 仁波切
Rinpoche means "precious one" or "jewel".
In Tibetan Buddhism, it is a way of showing respect when addressing those recognized as reincarnated, respected, learned and/or an accomplished Lamas or teachers of the Dharma. It is also used as an honorific for abbots of monasteries.
