Gosok

Tibetan: སྒོ་སོག      Chinese: 果碩
Origin of "Gosok": The first incarnation of Gosok Rinpoche was a Mongolian, Dondrup Gyatso. He was Abbot of Gomang College in Drepung Monastery, one of the three main Gelugpa monastic universities. He was a well known Buddhist scholar with extraordinary realization.
 
Rinpoche‘s name came from "Go’ of Gomang and "Sok", Tibetan pronunciation of Mongolian.
