An Arhat (foe destroyer of klesha or mental afflictions) is (usually a Hinayana practitioner) who has advanced along the path of enlightenment and has gained insight into true nature of existence (selflessness) but not yet reached full buddhahood.
In Sanskrit, the word arhat means honoured, deserving. Arhat is one of Ten Titles of the Buddha.
阿羅漢主要用於小乘佛教，是消滅煩惱仇敵者。應供是佛陀十號之一，意義是出離三界生死，不受後世蘊有，所以能夠受一切人、天供養。
