Introduction to Gutor Chenmo
THE THREE DAYS OF ANNUAL GREAT TORMA OFFERING (GUTOR CHENMO) AT GOSOK RIGZIN PHODRANG PHUNTSOK CHOELING MONASTARY IN NEPAL.
Gosok Rigzin Phodrang Phuntsok Choeling monastery in Nepal performs a three days great torma offering from the 27th to 29th days of the 12th Lunar month of the Tibetan calendar. The scheduling of the gatherings have been posted previously. These three days of the great torma offering are a way of making propitiations to the main Dharma protectors of the Vajrayana Buddhism in Tibet. The following are some of the examples:
Mahakala appears as a Dharma Protector deity generally known as (Choekyong).
White Mahakala, often depicted with six arms in wrathful form and white in color is considered to be an emanation of Avalokitesvara; the Bodhisattva of compassion.
Dharmarajas (Choe Gyal), meaning Dharma kings mainly refers to the early Buddhist kings who introduced Buddhism into Tibet directly from the source, India.
Palden Lhamo is a female deity in wrathful form and is considered to be the personal protector deity to the Dalai Lamas. Palden Lhamo is also revered as a Dharma Protector of the Tibetan government and Tibet in general.
Vaisravana or (Namthoe Se) in Tibetan is known in various forms. The most popular form of Vaisravana is Zambhala or the deity of wealth. Wealth is generally sought to protect practitioners from poverty so that study and practice of Buddha Dharma is ensured.
There may be also be other deities to whom offerings and propitiations made.
In many monasteries the monks perform dances (Cham) to inact the deities in a great assembly.
The main object of the three days great torma offering is to reflect on ones actions performed in the current year and then to sincerely make confessions of all the none virtuous activities, mental afflictions anger, hatred, self-cherishing, self-grasping and to know and realize the faults of such negative actions of body, speech and mind.
It is also important to make a sincere and virtuous resolution for the coming New Year in the form of a pledge to the Buddha Shakyamuni, Bodhisattvas, deities especially from whom one has taken Bodhisattvas vows. Finally make pledges to your own root gurus and other masters to be a better person in the coming New Year.

果朵法會簡介
本次是果朵（Gutor）的法會，就是藏傳佛教歲末除障的大法會，是在黃教裡面非常重要的一個法會，其他教派也會修這個法會。
在法會期間會脩大威德金剛本尊以及五大護法，像瑪哈嘎啦，吉祥天母，誓言法王，白瑪哈嘎啦，財寶天王等等。這次尼泊爾圓滿法洲寺修三天法會，送朵瑪除障。
’朵‘在藏語裡面是破壞毀滅的意思。把什麼打掉？把自己的煩惱障，所知障，最主要是無明的我執，愛我執，貪嗔癡慢疑等煩惱等毀掉。使我們心裡生起無我正見，生起愛他執，愛心，慈悲心，出離心，生起善良的心，最殊勝的是大悲心，菩提心，出離心，空性正見。如果這樣的話，使我們自己能夠去除障礙。
歲末除障法會最重要的除障是把我們內心的我執，愛我執，煩惱等送出去，滅除掉。修這些法，請求本尊護法加持我們，希望上師本尊的加持力，和我們的信心，這樣因緣具足，使我們在新的一年，身體事業順利，把煩惱障，所知障去除，而證得空性的智慧。這樣尼泊爾圓滿法洲寺修三天，因此大家好好的祈求，這樣去做。

Introduction à Gutor Chenmo
Il est de tradition au Tibet d’organiser à la fin du dernier mois lunaire, généralement le 29e jour, des cérémonies appelées GUTOR qui ont pour fonction d’éliminer tous les obstacles qui ont pu se manifester au cours de l’année qui s’achève. Ce sont ces cérémonies qui sont accomplies dans le monastère de Phuntsok tcheuling au Népal, du 27e au 29e jour du mois lunaire (8 au 10 février 2021). Les prières qui sont récitées ont pour but de purifier toutes les maladies, les pestilences et les adversités avant d’accueillir la nouvelle année et faire en sorte que la nouvelle année soit ainsi sans difficulté. A cette occasion, différentes déités sont invoquées. Ce sont essentiellement de grands Protecteurs du Dharma tels que Mahakala à six bras, Yamadharmaraja, Vaisravana et Pèldèn Lhamo. Des rituels de propitiation (nommés kangso en tibétain) dédiés à ces déités sont récités. Lors de ces rituels, on présente également une torma (gâteau sacrificiel en farine d’orge, tsampa) de forme spécifique. Traditionnellement ces cérémonies étaient accompagnées de danses masquées (tchame).
L’un des moments importants de ces cérémonies consiste à briser la torma. Cet acte symbolise le fait de pulvériser ou éliminer complètement tous les obstacles : ceux de l’année passée et ceux de l’année à venir. Par “obstacle”, on entend bien entendu les difficultés telles que la maladie ou les conflits. Mais cela désigne aussi et surtout les obstacles intérieurs que sont les agitations mentales (klesa), avec notamment les trois poisons de l’esprit : la colère, l’attachement et l’ignorance. Ces agitations mentales étant basées sur la saisie erronée du mode d’existence du soi et se développant grâce à l’autochérissement, les pratiquants visualisent que ce sont toutes les agitations mentales et surtout la saisie erronée du moi qui éclatent en morceaux et sont pulvérisés lorsque la torma est détruite. On élimine ainsi les obstacles majeurs au bonheur et à la pratique spirituelle. Cela permet alors de développer pleinement les qualités telles que la sagesse, la compassion, la bienveillance, l’esprit d’Eveil (Bodhicitta).
Ces cérémonies permettent ainsi de faire en sorte que cette nouvelle année réunisse toutes les conditions favorables pour la vie quotidienne (absence de maladie, de conflits, etc.) mais aussi toutes les conditions favorables pour pratiquer et progresser vers la Voie qui mène à l’Eveil, à la réalisation de l’état de Buddha.

Tu Viện Đức Hạnh Gosok Rinpoche tại Toronto, Ontario, Canada trân trọng đón mừng các Phật tử trên toàn thế giới. Tu Viện Đức Hạnh lần này được hân hạnh tổ chức lễ truyền thông trực tiếp Đại Lễ truyền thống cúng dường bánh Torma vào ba ngày cuối năm của Tu Viện Gosok Rigzin Phodrang Phuntsok Choling ở Nepal, nhằm vào ba ngày 27,28,29 tháng chạp âm lịch cũng như bản thông điệp chúc phúc đầu năm của GOSOK RINPOCHE vào ngày Tết âm lịch. Chương trình chi tiết của các ngày lễ trên đã được thông báo.
Đại lễ ba ngày cúng dường bánh Torma có mục đích khẩn cầu sự khoan dung tha thứ của các vị Hộ Pháp chính của Phật giáo Mật Tông Tây Tạng, thí dụ như các vị sau đây:
1. Mahakala, hoá thần hộ pháp thường được biết dưới tên là CHOEKYONG.
2. Mahakala trắng, hoá thần phẫn nộ sáu tay, được xem là hoá thân của Bồ tát Quán Thế Âm.
3. Dharmarajas, hay CHOE GYALS, có nghĩa là Pháp Vương, các vị vua trong lịch sử đã có công mang Phật pháp trực tiếp từ Ấn Độ vào Tây Tạng.
4. Palden Lhamo, nữ hoá thần phẫn nộ, vị hoá thần che chở cho ngài Đạt Lai Lạt Ma, chính quyền Tây Tạng, và dân tộc Tây Tạng.
5. Vaisravana hay Namthoe Se, có nhiều dạng khác nhau ở Tây Tạng . Dạng thông thường nhất là Zambhala, hay thần tài. Phúc Lộc được xem là một phương tiện cần thiết để bảo vệ Phật tử khỏi sự nghèo đói khốn cùng, đảm bảo sự tu tập và thực hành Phật pháp.
Có thể có thêm các vị hoá thần khác cũng sẽ được cúng dường và khẩn cầu sự khoan dung tha thứ trong dịp lễ này.
Ở nhiều Tu Viện, chư tăng có làm các lễ múa đặc biệt ( CHAM)để kích hoạt các hoá thần trong các Pháp Hội lớn.
Mục đích chính của ba ngày đại lễ trên đây là để Phật tử có cơ hội phản quang tự kỷ, xem lại các nghiệp đã làm trong năm vừa qua, rồi đưa đến sự sám hối chân thành cho các hành vi bất thiện, những ý tưởng tiêu cực như oán ghét, sân hận, ngã ái và chấp ngã. Từ đó, nhận ra lỗi lầm của những hành vi tiêu cực của thân, ngữ, ý.
Một điều khác cũng quan trọng là tự đặt ra một quyết tâm thiện và chân thành cho năm mới bằng hình thức hứa nguyện với Phật Thích Ca bổn sư, các vị Bồ tát, và các hoá thần, đặc biệt là các vị mà Phật tử đã nhận giới Bồ tát (qua những lễ quán đảnh). Cuối cùng là hứa nguyện với các vị thầy gốc và các vị thầy khác quyết tâm trở thành một con người tốt hơn trong năm mới.
